Fresh, summer ingredients sing in this highly seasonal caprese sandwich (pronounced ‘ca-pray-zay’). We layer juicy, heirloom tomatoes, tender fresh mozzarella, and aromatic summer basil on a crusty Acme Rustic Sweet baguette. Finished with a sprinkle of salt, a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, and balsamic vinegar to bring out the sweetness of the tomatoes. Guests ask for this sandwich year-round, but we can’t bring ourselves to make it until the tomatoes and basil are at their peak flavor.
